Personal profile
Summary
I am a Chartered Construction Manager with over 40 years industry experience. I joined the University of Portsmouth in 2018 and now work as a Senior Teaching Fellow in the School of Civil Engineering and Surveying.
I have worked in many areas of construction both client and contractor side. I have also worked as a contractor, developer and as a building surveyor. I have an MSc in Property Development (Real Estate) which I gained at UoP. I am also an End Point Assessor for the CIOB Apprenticeship Scheme.
My interests are varied (much like my experience). I currently teach aspects of construction measurement, tendering and procurement, profesional development, and construction project management to both undergraduate and masters students. I sit on the faculties EDI committee and also the SCES Athena Swan Committe which I currently chair.
