Summary

I am an Associate Head for Placements and Employability for the School of Health and Care Professions, at the University of Portsmouth.

Biography

I trained at St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington and qualified as a Registered Nurse (Adult) in 1991. I have been fortunate to work in a variety of settings including; acute medicine, continuing care, palliative care, rehabilitation, stroke, education and leadership roles.

Teaching Responsibilities

I joined the newly formed BN(Hons) Nursing Team on an innovative, fractional Clinical Teaching Fellow contract in 2018 and became full-time in 2020. My teaching interests reflect my careers to date and include care of older adults; service user experiences; frailty; the use of VR within healthcare; long-term conditions; neuro disability; placement experiences and capacity.

I am currently the Module Lead for Nursing People with Long Term Conditions and contribute to other healthcare modules across SHCP.
