Personal profile

Biography

I have experience of transport modelling, junctions design, undertaking transport assessments for new developments and providing expert witness evidence at planning appeals.

My research interests lie in explanatory and simulation models of travel behaviours and transport movements, with a particular emphasis on the role of the built form and urban planning. I have also undertaken projects investigating the carbon emissions of travel and ways in which economic growth can be decoupled from growth in the economy.

Prior to my current position I worked for David Simmonds Consultancy as a Senior Analyst, Strathclyde University as a Research Fellow, and Gifford (now Ramboll) as a Transportation Engineer.
