I am an Associate Professor in the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance, where I teach behavioural economics and finance modules while engaging in various research projects. I serve on the Faculty's Athena SWAN SAT and Ethics Committee, contributing to initiatives like the 'Women in Economics Network' and the 'Discover Economics' outreach programme to promote diversity in economics.
My research employs experimental methods and econometric techniques to investigate topics in behavioral economics, particularly gender representation and public goods provision. My work was published in high-quality international journals, including Public Administration Review, Experimental Economics, Journal of Business Ethics, Public Choice, and Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization.
I hold a PhD in Economics from the University of East Anglia, a MSc in Economics from the University of Siena (Italy), and a BSc in Economics from the University of Bologna (Italy). Prior to joining the University of Portsmouth, I was Research Associate at the Max Planck Institute of Economics in Germany. Before that, I had been Research Associate at the Centre for Reasoning, University of Kent. In autumn 2019 I was granted research leave, during which I visited the University of Southampton.
I am currently involved in a number of interdisciplinary projects including:
Additionally, I conduct research on public goods provision, focusing on new mechanisms to support the funding of public projects, using laboratory experiments.
