Description of Activity

Event aimed at Armed Forces Veterans, to raise awareness of career options in games development and showcase the potential of games to aid with mental health rehabilitation and sense of belonging. Organised in collaboration with Company of Makers (a social enterprise funded by the Royal Navy/Marines charity and the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust), as well as visitors from the Wargaming team at Dstl (UK Ministry of Defence). Approx 25 Veterans plus another 5-10 special guests took part in a programme of game development activities over the course of a day, facilitated by UoP staff. Event captured by professional film crew and turned into a promotional video for both Company of Makers and UoP.
